Katherine Perkins writes vivid, evocative songs about love in all its forms, surrounded in lush instrumentation and grounded in steady, danceable grooves.

She started her musical journey with a banjo at Bennington College, then moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she played with fellow Maine transplants in the debaucherous basement rock band, Harvey Eyeballs, and formed her own band,

Rose Hips & Ships (2012-2020).

She now lives in Downeast, Maine, where she writes most of her songs on a nice old piano named Louella.
